Slick 10 - Test Patterns

This effect generates a variety of video test patterns. These patterns can be used to calibrate equipment with standard images, or just give your movie production that Hollywood look.

As an iMovie effect, it needs to be applied to a clip on the timeline. Make sure that you use a dummy clip or "slug" on the timeline, since the original clip will not be visible once the effect is applied. The easiest way to do this is to use a place a still image on the timeline (without the Ken Burns effect) and set the duration of the clip to the desired length of the test pattern.

To use this plug-in:

• Select a clip on the timeline, choose the Test Pattern plug-in, and press the Configure button.
• Select a test pattern from the pop-up menu, and click the OK button.
• In the main iMovie window click on the Apply button and the test pattern will be generated.
