Installing the Stealth Serial Port Card in a G4
- Shut down your computer. Unplug all of
the cables including the power cord.
- Lift the latch on the side of the computer
and gently lower the panel onto a flat clean surface. See
the Setting Up Your Power Macintosh manual that came with
your computer if you need further instruction on this step.
- If your system came with an internal
modem, you will need to remove this first. Remove the two
screws holding the modem card in place. Lift the card out
and disconnect the thin cable attached to it.
- Locate the area with the telephone
icon at the back of the computer used to access the optional
modem. Loosen the screw nearest to the phone icon which
secures a small metal box. Disconnect the metal box from
the rear of the computer case.
